autism
. All interventions are based on the use of a functional analysis and include a written individualized behavior program developed for each child or adult. Strategies include functional communication training, data collection, parent or staff training, the use of replacement skills and on-going parent or staff training.

meet criteria for most state funded 30/40 hour behavior assistant/ and behavior tutor standards.
On-Site Training:
An important and defining feature of our ABA programs is that they are directed by professionals with advanced formal training in behavior analysis, at least a master's degree, as well as supervised experience in designing and implementing ABA programming for individuals with autism and related disorders. The I-CAN Behavior Analysts have met the educational, experiential, and examination performance standards of the
Behavior Analyst Certification Board
and are Board Certified Behavior Analysts. They adhere to the BACB's Guidelines for Responsible Conduct and base treatment on the best available scientific evidence.
The I-CAN, Inc. behavioral staff provide a functional assessment prior to treatment and a behavior intervention plan, which is trained to the family and caregivers on an ongoing basis. Targeted skills are taken from specific goals set by the individual and his or her circle of supports which are taught directly by our well trained staff of BCBAs, BCaBAs and Behavior Assistants.
Assessment Methodolgies:
On-site observation of maintaining variables for problem behaviors (In both the home and community environments)
Direct interviews with caregivers
Completion of the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills -Revised (ABLLS-R)
Functional Analysis of target behaviors including systematic manipulations of the environment
Vineland Adaptive Scale
Intervention Strategies:
Research based interventions aimed at teaching replacement skills for inappropriate behaviors based on the functional relationships identified in the behavioral assessment
Each intervention is individualized to fit the identified needs of each consumer.
