Companion Services

Services consist of non-medical care, supervision and socialization activities provided to an adult on a one-on-one basis. This service must be provided in direct relation to the achievement of the individual’s goals. A companion may assist the individual with such tasks as meal preparation, laundry and shopping; however, these activities shall not be performed as discrete services. The companion services are developed with the individual to allow them meet their socialization and integration goals.
