Qualifications of all employees:
- All employees will be screened and trained to meet the criteria developed under Chapter 393. This will include: Notarized affidavit of good moral character; Proof of local background check; Documentation of finger prints submitted to FDLE for screening and screening reports on file; Background re-screening is done at least every 5 years. All employees will be trained in mandatory trainings required by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the Medicaid Waiver program, and Delmarva to include Abuse and Neglect reporting, Core assurances, Rights of consumers, and Confidentiality.

Behavior Analyst*:
Board Certified Behavior Analysts hold either a Masters or a Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution. Behavior analysts will develop functional analyses, design behavior programs, implement behavior programs and train others in the implementation of behavior programs specific to the recipient. BCBA’s and BCABA’s will use the principles of applied behavior analysis to identify functional relationships between behavior and environment and then use direct observation and measurement of behavior to produce practical behavior change
Qualifications of behavior analysts: Provision of behavioral services must comply with Chapter 65B- 4.030(9)(10), F.A.C. Services provided by behavior analysts with limited experience in the problem area or by behavior analysts who are not Board Certified Behavior Analysts with three years of experience or licensure under Chapter 490 or 491, F.S., will receive oversight and approval of services with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Supported Employment Coach*:
Supported employment coach will assist with the acquisition of skills related to accessing and maintaining employment or developing and operating a small business through supports typical to the workplace. Specific skills training will include: improving skills related to obtaining and maintaining employment that will fit with their desires, their abilities and their available supports.
Qualifications of supported living coach: must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, nursing, education, or social, behavioral or rehabilitative science. They also must maintain a current Supported Employment Coach certification.
Supported Living Coach*:
Supported living coaching services provide training and assistance, in a variety of activities, to support individuals who live in their own homes or apartments. These services may include assistance with locating appropriate housing, the acquisition, retention or improvement of skills related to activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and grooming, household chores, meal preparation, shopping, personal finances and the social and adaptive skills necessary to enable individuals to reside on their own.
Qualifications of supported employment coach: must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, nursing, education, or social, behavioral or rehabilitative science. They must maintain a current Supported Living Coach certification.
Behavior assistant will provide one-on-one activities related to the delivery of behavior analysis services. The assistant activities will include the monitoring of behavior analysis services, the implementation of behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors, data collection and display as designed and authorized by the certified behavior analyst working with that particular individual.
Qualifications of behavior assistants: Must have at least two years working with a population with behavior needs, have completed a 30 hour ABA course provided by a BCBA or BCABA and meet all employee requirements identified above.
Companion Services:
Companion services will consist of the facilitation of adaptive activities provided to an adult on a one-on-one basis. Outcomes related to enriched community integration will be included in the role of the companion, such as supervising the recipient in performing necessary steps to grocery shopping or checking a book out of the library. A companion may assist the recipient with such tasks as meal preparation, laundry and shopping when applicable to their setting.
